At a party with my daughter in California, I was high on a hill overlooking this scene, and inspired to capture the variation of “light play” on water, rock and sand.

San Pedro Chapel
The variation of the adobe color, door and window contrast and texture of the plants made this one of my favorites. I have not visited this chapel in Tuscan, Arizona, but would like to.

Four Peaks
A friend spread the ashes of her mother and husband on this local Arizona range and commissioned this painting, which now hangs in her living room. She asked for early Spring with some snow on the peaks.

Fraternity House
I asked my grandson to chose a picture that would bring about warm and fun memories of his college years at Wake Forest, North Carolina. He chose his PKE fraternity house. I loved painting this, especially the many shoes hanging on the wires.

Autumn Trees
This was my first pastel and fun to do. I sprayed it with a preservative when finished which turned all the color charcoal. Devastating! After it dried, I reapplied color to the obvious trunks and it worked!
